Violence is an omnipresent phenomenon in 16-year-old Yuuta Okkotsu's life. He's been bullied by his classmates. Suffering from a heart-wrenching curse. There's Rika, Yuuta's curse, who is the ghost of his dead friend and the enemy to anyone who crosses his path. Due to his strange and uncontrollable situation, Yuuta gains the attention of Satoru Gojou, a very powerful sorcerer, and teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High. It was observed that there is so much potential in Yuuta, so Gojou took the responsibility of trying to get the boy to channel his demonic nature into a force for good. In contrast to Yuuta's exceptionally talented classmates, Maki Zenin, Panda and Toge Inumaki, who have cursed speech, Yuuta is at a loss to find his place among the gifted group. Even though Yuuta just carelessly uses Rika during missions with the first-years, the murderous aftereffects of Rika's limitless powers catching the attention of the cold and calculating Suguru Getou. Getou's goal is to steal and use Rika's strength to exterminate all users of jujitsu other than Getou and her co-conspirators.
